Project Overview
The primary objective was to establish a unified and scalable visual identity for the Xbox ecosystem that maintains premium brand fidelity across all platforms. By developing high-end cinematic motion reveals and a responsive UI framework, the project aimed to create an immersive user journey that transitions seamlessly from mobile devices to 4K console environments. Balancing aggressive tech aesthetics with intuitive design, this high-performance system delivers a consistent and elite gaming experience. It was engineered to ensure brand fidelity and functional excellence across the entire hardware ecosystem.

By anchoring the strategy in the Xbox brand DNA, we harmonized cinematic visual narratives with rigorous technical execution. The resulting design language elevates high-fidelity motion and clean UI, delivering a native, high-impact brand experience at every point of interaction.
Approach
Cinematic motion study and UI framework visualization
The design process started with an exploration of procedural forms and cinematic motion dynamics. By integrating node-based workflows and advanced generative tools, we moved beyond static wireframes into real-time prototyping. Each iteration was refined through technical art audits, ensuring that complex shaders and particle systems remained optimized for web and interface environments without sacrificing the aggressive Xbox aesthetic.
The process began by deconstructing the Xbox visual DNA to establish a foundation for the new energy sphere motion. Moving through a high-fidelity prototyping phase, a technical art pipeline was utilized to bridge the gap between abstract key art and functional UI. This iterative cycle allowed for the refinement of lighting, material response, and transition speeds, resulting in a cohesive experience that feels both futuristic and grounded in the brand’s legacy.
Process
By leveraging a combination of design thinking, agile methodologies, and collaborative feedback loops, we ensured that each stage of development was aligned with Oliver's artistic vision and business objectives.
The project process began with a discovery phase to understand Oliver's goals, followed by wireframe and mockup development to shape the website's design. Incorporating Oliver feedback, we then moved into development, focusing on a responsive and visually appealing site. Rigorous testing ensured functionality across devices, culminating in a successful launch and a handover session for future site management.
