Fortnite

V-Bucks

My work with the Fortnite UI/UX and engineering teams centered on redesigning and implementing the updated V‑Bucks screen in Unreal Engine. The focus was on tightening the layout so the new currency tiers were easy to understand, making sure the hierarchy, color choices, and overall polish matched the broader UX direction. My role also extended into in‑engine execution, building custom material shaders, smoothing out animations, and aligning every detail with Fortnite’s evolving UI kit.

For VALORANT’s console debut and Beta rollout, I owned the craft-driven execution across the entire front-end store experience, from the Store Landing to the Night Market. I bridged high-level visual direction established in Figma with Unreal Engine performance, developing adaptive systems and modular filigree details that scaled seamlessly across console hardware. My role involved integrating high-fidelity 3D render pipelines and refined typography into a responsive, low-latency interface, preserving the brand’s premium aesthetic while maintaining absolute technical stability in-engine.

Sentinels of Light brought together a global cross‑game event that mixed an in‑client narrative journey with a dedicated marketplace, and the work focused on refining usability, visual styling, and animation details to match the event’s ornate shape language across weekly releases. Contributions also extended into key art, web integration, and motion graphics, creating a cohesive, high‑quality experience with a unified visual identity that balanced the contrasting aesthetics of the event’s opposing factions.

I live at the intersection of brand strategy, visual craft, and digital systems. With over 20 years of experience, from the fast‑paced world of advertising to building world‑known ecosystems for Epic Games and Riot Games, I focus on creating visual languages that are as functional as they are meaningful.

My journey has been about scaling craft across global entertainment IPs. At Riot Games, I owned the brand systems and visual identity for major beats like League of Legends Season 2022 and Sentinels of Light. I later transitioned into deep product work, leading the visual design implementation for VALORANT’s console front‑end and store. Most recently at Epic Games, I focused on the Fortnite Item Shop ecosystem, redesigning core player‑facing systems and monetization flows to drive retention and revenue at scale.

I believe great design is empathetic. Whether I’m building a brand identity from scratch or implementing a complex UI flow in‑engine, my approach remains the same, build on a strong personal foundation and execute with love, respect, and professionalism.
